Getting Married in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is said to be the marriage capital of the world.  I you want to get married in Vegas you will need a license.  So where do you get one?  To obtain your marriage license, both parties must appear in person before a Clerk at a Clark County Marriage Bureau location.  The Bureau is located at 201 E Clarke Ave. Las Vegas Nevada.  The is in downtown Las Vegas just a couple of blocks away from Fremont Street.
Nevada law allows only a male and female to be married. Identification to prove your name and age is required.   Without acceptable identification, they will not issue a marriage license.  No blood test is required.
Your Marriage License and Certificate will be prepared with your legal name exactly as it appears on the identification presented.  It is your responsibility to present the proper identification to have your name reflected as you desire.   You are required to give your social security card if you have one, but you don't have to show your card.  There is no waiting period to get married after the marriage license has been issued.
The fee for a marriage license is $60, payable by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or credit card.  .  There is an additional $5.00 service charge for credit card transactions.
